Volume 46, Issue 1 of the SAIS Review unpacks how the United States has shaped the global order since its founding in 1776—and in turn, how the rest of the world has shaped the United States. Published during the semiquincentennial, the issue seeks not only to examine America’s role in a fractured global landscape, but also to consider where the international order goes from here.
