Senator Ben Cardin (Distinguished Fellow)
A longtime leader in Congress, Senator Cardin is widely recognized for his commitment to bipartisan governance, human rights, and democratic values. As former Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he championed anti-corruption efforts and values-based diplomacy. He is the principal architect of the Global Magnitsky Act, a landmark law advancing global accountability for human rights abuses. We are honored to have Senator Cardin as distinguished fellow here at foreign policy instituite.
